Anna Volossovitch is Assistance Professor of Faculty of Human Kinetics of University of Lisbon since 1998. She is the co-author of several chapters and papers in game analysis, as well as two textbooks of Handball. Anna was a lecturer at the Coaches Courses of the Portuguese Handball Federation and various courses and seminars in Sports Training.
Anna played handball at the national level in the USSR. In 1991 she graduated with honors from the National State University of Physical Education and Sport of Ukraine, where also got her Master degree in Sport Training in 1995. Anna was an Assistant Professor of the Olympic Sports Department of this University from 1992 to 1995, and then from 1995 to 1997 she worked as a researcher in the Russian State Academy of Physical Education in Moscow. In 2008 Anna got her PhD in Sport Sciences from Technical University of Lisbon. Her main research interests lie in the field of performance analysis, learning process and expertise development in sport and, particularly, in sport games.
