Marta Marques is a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the University of Lisbon, Faculty of Human Kinetics, Self-Regulation/CIPER research group, and an invited assistant at ISPA-University Institute. She completed her undergraduate studies in applied Psychology, postgraduate studies in Psychology of Sports and Physical Activity, and Masters in Health Psychology, at ISPA-University Institute. She obtained her Ph.D. in Health Psychology from Leiden University (Netherlands). She is a chartered clinical and health psychologist. Marta Marques’ research focuses on motivational and self-regulation processes underlying health behavior change, and developing and testing theory-based interventions. She has co-authored 12 peer-reviewed articles, and 4 special issues. She is a research collaborator in the EU H2020 funded project NoHoW- Evidence-based ICT tools for weight loss maintenance. She is Associate Editor of the European Health Psychologist and Psychology, Community & Health. She is the Chair of the e-courses committee and National delegate of the European Health Psychology Society (EHPS).
