Pedro B. Júdice is a post-doctoral fellow at the CIPER – Faculty of Human Kinetics, University of Lisbon. Currently his research is funded by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT grant: SFRH/BPD/115977/2016) which is part of a trans-national prospective study (European Youth Heart Study) that follows a large sample of children from different countries including Portugal, for up to 12-years, thus embracing the transition from childhood to adulthood. He is interested in examining if MVPA can eliminate the detrimental effect of sedentary-time and the benefits of a breaking pattern in paediatric ages with metabolic risk in adulthood. Pedro B Júdice is also an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport, Lusófona University. He holds a PhD in Physical Activity and Health by the Faculty of Human Kinetics, University of Lisbon, where he finished his degree in Sports Sciences with 16.4 values followed by a Master degree in Exercise and Health with a final classification of 18.2 values. He published 18 original papers in scientific journals with arbitration and 8 papers in event’s proceedings. He participated in 10 events both abroad and in Portugal, and has received 11 awards as best student during his career. In his professional activities he interacted with 30 collaborators in co-authorship of scientific work, having spent 6 months in Australia, working at the Baker IDI Heart and Diabetes Institute. He is also a reviewer for several scientific journals in the field.
