Diana de Aguiar Pereira dos Santos

Diana A. Santos is a post-doctoral fellow at the CIPER – Faculty of Human Kinetics, University of Lisbon and she is integrated in the research group “Functional Body Composition and Energy Regulation” in the Exercise and Health Laboratory. Currently her research is funded by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT grant: SFRH/BPD/92462/2013) which aims to investigate the role of different trajectories in the patterns of sedentary behaviors in health, from childhood and adolescence into young adulthood. Diana A. Santos is also an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport, Lusófona University. She holds a PhD in Physical Activity and Health (2013) from the Faculty of Human Kinetics, Technical University of Lisbon and a Bachelor in Sport Sciences from the same institution (2007). During her trajectory she has been a co-investigator in six funded projects and she has been an author of several original articles published in international peer-reviewed journals. She is a reviewer for several scientific journals in the field sports sciences and body composition. Her research interests include body composition, energy balance, and physical activity and sedentary behavior as health-related predictors.
